Language of Instruction English, Spanish Northlands is a coeducational, bilingual IB World School that, through caring and innovative teaching, educates young people to the full extent of their individual potential. It is a school that values its Anglo-Argentine roots, while respecting all cultures, religions and nationalities. It offers an all-encompassing, warm, cordial and friendly environment which is reflected in its motto: Friendship and Service. Graduates are individuals whose integrity and moral values lead them to choose freely what is right.

As we move towards our centenary year, our vision at Northlands is that we approach teaching, learning and living in the spirit of the International Baccalaureate, encouraging our students to achieve their personal best by uncovering their talents and preparing them to become engaged global citizens, continuing to truly live up to our School motto.

We aim to strengthen our position as a leader in education and innovation by achieving outstanding international examination results, obtaining international accreditation, focusing on state-of-the-art technology, expanding our Education for Sustainable Development Projects, instilling a culture of healthy lifestyle choices, developing our campuses to meet the needs of our highly demanding programmes, and continuing to develop a closely knit community influenced by the diversity of our families.

Kindergarten Education

Northlands offers an all-embracing curriculum that works on physical, social, emotional, intellectual, ethic and aesthetic aspects through teaching and learning strategies focused on encouraging curiosity and the desire to know in children. Our young students strengthen their self-esteem, develop their understanding of their immediate surroundings and acquire the necessary skills to do work and express their ideas in both English and Spanish.

Primary Education

Northlands offers an all-embracing curriculum based on inquiry and research as the ideal vehicles for learning. We provide a caring and stimulating environment where children enjoy doing their work and develop positive academic and inter-personal attitudes, self-confidence and self-discipline. Students take the lead by making the learning process their own: they are encouraged to make choices, take decisions and ask questions, thus broadening their range of interests and knowledge.

Secondary Education

Northlands offers high quality secondary education, awakening in students an interest in and curiosity for the academic world, raising an international awareness and cultivating the appreciation of culture. During this phase students develop critical thinking skills, creativity and autonomy. Individual talents and personal interests are nurtured so that students can make satisfactory career choices at the end of their school life.

Digital and Global Citizenship

Northlands as a leader in education and innovation implements a digital learning programme to enhance teaching and learning through a one-to-one use of electronic devices. This ratifies our commitment to developing the profile of an aware digital learner which is willing to responsibly face the challenges of global citizenship.

Northlands defines global citizenship as the knowledge and skills required to understand the interconnected world we live in.

Physical Education

We believe the practice of physical and sports activities to be an essential part of our students' education. We take part in national and international interschool events that promote team spirit and healthy competition.

Arts

Students are guided so that they may find in the arts an outlet for their self-expression. At an early stage, learning is based on games as a way of discovering and experimenting with the possibilities of each discipline. As students mature, they are offered a wide range of techniques, instruments and cultures to explore through the formal study of the dramatic arts, music and the visual arts.
