Vision & Values

The vision of Plenty Valley Christian College is to be a learning community with the creative and responsive mind and spirit of Christ.

Message from the Principal

Since opening in 1981 plenty Valley has developed into a unique Christian College. Our students are nurtured and supported but also challenged to achieve high standards in an educational experience that is framed by Christian beliefs and community. It is a privilege to share with parents the responsibility for shaping the lives of young people. We take seriously the development of a Christian view of the world in education and of inspiring children to be and to do their best. Set in an attractive semi-rural environment the College has some superb facilities. We also have a caring friendly community and offer a variety of curricular and co-curricular experiences that contribute to the well-rounded development of young people. In our prospectus is an outline of the College vision its programs and arrangements. Documents like these help families make an informed decision about schooling. However printed material can only allude to the real experience of attending here. You are especially welcome to visit Plenty Valley meet with the dedicated staff and observe firsthand the things that make it a place well able to contribute to the educational landscape of the twenty-first century. I warmly invite you to explore further the many advantages that become accessible to families through a commitment to an educational partnership with us. Douglas PeckEdD; MACE mACEL

Message from Head of Primary

We want to provide a safe and happy environment for everyone. Plenty Valley is a place where we all live and learn in the spirit of cooperation Harmony creativity and endeavour. We want our College to be a place where everyone feels comfortable secure and successful. We believe that children’s spiritual educational social emotional and physical development will thrive in a positive and caring environment. For our students only best practice teaching is suitable and this is why we have embraced the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP). Not only do our students benefit from this international curriculum framework and inquiry based curriculum but our teaching staff benefit from being trained to world class standards by world class trainers. Our staff is our greatest asset and are highly valued here at Plenty Valley by leaders and parents alike. This curriculum booklet outlines for you an overview of the Primary Curriculum with details of the Primary Years Program (PYP) and other key learning areas. I look forward to meeting with you and taking you on a tour of the Primary School where I can show you why Plenty Valley Christian College is considered to be the College of choice in the region. Message from Head of Secondary

We aim to empower young Christians to enter every positive walk of life. I believe we are here for the purpose of leading our students on a journey toward a mature Christian adulthood. The best way we can do this is to develop and hone the talents with which each student has been blessed. A successful secondary education requires a shared understanding and commitment from students parents and teachers. With our support students have the best opportunity to be active participants in their own education. Along with our staff istrongly encourage responsibility and awareness in each of our students. Students at the College benefit from a high-level academic education guided by a Christian worldview. This provides them with a variety of options after graduation and provides a strong foundation for the rest of their lives. I warmly welcome visitors to our College and would be delighted to share more information about our programs with you. Rod RamsayHead of Secondary
