BEPS International School founded in 1972 as the Brussels English Primary School, is an English-language international school.

The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is the framework for the organization of the BEPS curriculum. The average class size is 18 and children begin their formal studies at age 4. All children learn French.

The staff come from a variety of backgrounds. They average 10 years of teaching experience of which 5 at BEPS and all are fully qualified. The student body is highly international with 40 nationalities represented.

The school year extends from the first week in September to the end of June. The school day is from 09.00 to 15.30 and Wednesday is a half-day. Extra-curricular activities are offered including sports, drama, computer club and art. Piano and violin lessons are also available. Classes 4-7 (8 to 11 years) participate in a one-week residential trip to the Belgian coast or Ardennes. Throughout the year there is a variety of trips to historical and cultural sites in Belgium.

A city school, situated in a gracious mansion with a lovely garden and stimulating playground, adjoins the University of Brussels (ULB) and the greenery of the Bois de la Cambre. BEPS is conveniently located for families living in the city and the eastern and southern communes.

Admission is based upon previous school records and an interview with the parents and child.
