A multicultural International School and kindergarten set in the Hong Lok Yuen
estate for expatriate and local residents in the

Territories. It provides for children from Nursery to Year 9. The school is
accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS).
Curriculum
Nursery Reception to Year 9 The curriculum is well structured and provides for a solid foundation of skills as well as development of an inquiry approach. English and Mathematics are taught using the UK Literacy and Numeracy Strategy, Science, Music, Design and Technology and ICT are all taught in well resourced classrooms. ICT is widely used with Interactive Whiteboards in every classroom. We provide the National Curriculum for Key Stage 3 for Years 7 - 9, leading to iGCSE in Years 10 and 11 and then together A-Level or IBO diploma in Years 12 and 13 as we establish our secondary school. Every child has the opportunity to participate in the Performing Arts, Drama and Music. Environmental Education is high profile reflecting both the ethos and location of the school. Languages offered include Chinese, Spanish and Dutch. In P.E. there is an emphasis on physical fitness and outdoor education. Activities The school provides a variety of out-of-school and lunchtime activities. Some are offered by teachers and parents, others by outside professionals. They may require additional fees. They include drama, instrumental lessons, judo, chess, French, Dutch Language, Netball, Brazilian soccer, choir, ballet, football and Chinese painting.
