Marymount was founded by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary (RSHM) in 1923. Today, it is the oldest international school in Paris and part of the RSHM Network of Schools, which includes 19 schools and a partnership with several missions in Africa.

With small average class sizes and an excellent student-adult ratio, Marymount offers a tailor-made education that focuses on the individual needs and learning potential of every child. Marymount prides itself on embracing the natural diversity of its global community - with over 40 nationalities on campus - whilst delivering an internationally accredited curriculum.

Marymount students study a wide range of subjects and learn respectful teamwork, individual responsibility and community service. Through varied activities, students grow in academic discipline and build essential life skills. Marymount ensures that the rigor and relevance of teaching takes place in a nurturing environment allowing each student to successfully grow and develop in an international setting.

The Early Childhood Program is designed to reflect student-learning outcomes by the end of Kindergarten. Teaching and learning focuses upon five core domains of development: Social and Emotional Development, Language and Literacy, Cognitive and General Knowledge, Physical Development, and Approaches to Learning. The curriculum includes Language, Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art, and Religion. Specialists teach Music, Physical Education, and French.

The Elementary and Middle School academic program is divided into the following subject areas: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Religion, French (daily classes), Physical Education, Music and Art. Specialists teach other subjects including music, art, drama, PE, health and after-school activities.

In Elementary School, emphasis is placed on respectful teamwork and individual responsibility. Through various activities, we help our students grow in academic discipline and essential life skills.

Marymount Middle School provides students with many opportunities - inside and outside the classroom - to develop their academic skills, acquire knowledge and understanding, and explore special talents and interests. Special attention is focused on meeting physical, social and emotional growth, as well as academic development.

Field trips, both in France and abroad, are organized for all students every trimester.

The English as an Additional Language (EAL) program ensures students whose mother tongue is not English are seamlessly integrated into the classroom. The Learning Support Services program includes the ILC (Individualised Learning Center) which delivers a program for students with diverse learning needs. All students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of after-school activities including music, sports, art, and drama.
