Located in the tranquil surroundings of Boka Bay, within the luxury superyacht marina and nautical village Porto Montenegro, KSI offers students a challenging and rewarding educational experience. Students benefit from these stimulating surroundings which promote our healthy body, healthy mind philosophy. KSI Montenegro is authorised by the International Baccalaureate to offer the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years and the Diploma Programme. KSI is also school fully licensed by the Montenegrin Ministry of Education. Boarding at KSI is a great addition to the school and a new aspect of education in our community. It opened in September 2013 offering a British model of pastoral support with an international ethos. It is available to students aged 11-19. KSI Montenegro strives to create an environment of comfort, safety and fun for boarders. While KSI Montenegro has a diverse student body with children from about 15 different countries, the teachers are mainly coming from English speaking regions. The main language of instruction in the school is English. The school is fully committed to the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Programmes. KSI Montenegro provides a holistic, balanced and varied curriculum that addresses the needs of all learners and supports the development of learning strategies that prepare them for each stage of their education. All students are encouraged to take initiative and develop personal responsibility, and are expected to actively participate in developing a friendly, welcoming and culturally understanding environment. This adds to the holistic experience of boarding and allows students to develop as a community of empowered and engaged global citizens. The school is developing multilingualism through its language programmes by currently offering the host country language, as well as French and German lessons. In addition, all our learners have access to over 25 other languages, through the approach that integrates both technology and language learning, Rosetta Stone. At KSI, we believe that learning is yearround. During the summer months KSI offers exciting summer camp, which includes a variety of outdoor activities such as sailing, rowing, swimming etc. Winter months bring great possibility to enjoy skiing at some of the nearby ski resorts, as little as three hours away from the boarding campus.
