School Introduction Kia Ora and welcome to the New Zealand Language Institute. We are an Institute that offers high quality English Teaching to our students. Our tutors are well trained professionals who have a commitment to the individual needs of our students. We are an Institute that really cares about you. We are located in the centre of the very beautiful Rotorua city, but 5 minutes from the beautiful Kuirau Park. Our mission is "to provide professional education in English and western culture in friendly, pleasant surroundings. ESL Program Introduction
We have several courses to choose from. Most courses can be studied either full-time or part-time, Monday to Friday. All out courses are New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) approved. Courses can be started at anytime during the year. Some topics covered include reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, conversation skills, exam skills, cv preparation, interview skills, job search skills, etc.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
1. All fees are in NZ$ and include 12.5% G.S.T.
2. Before students begin their course, tuition and accommodation fees
must be paid in full.
3. Our course entitled “Preparation for IELTS” is also suitable for those
students wanting a General English course at Elementary to upper
Intermediate levels.
4. In accordance with the relevant government regulations, the New
Zealand Language Institute has made appropriate arrangements for the
protection of student fees. Fees are deposited with a government-
owned and NZQA approved trust: Public Trust. They are then released to
the school each month.

Proof of residential status must be provided

Part Time (20 hours) NZ$90.00 per week
Single class NZ$15.00 one lesson
3. COURSE FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:
“PREPARATION FOR IELTS” CLASS: ELEMENTARY TO UPPER INTERMEDIATE
Part Time (15 hours)--- Morning Class NZ$202.00 per week
Part Time (10 hours)--- Afternoon Class NZ$150.00 per week
Part Time (1 hours) NZ$15.00 per lesson
Full Time (25 hours) NZ$350.00 per week
* Private Tuition: Available on request if a tutor is available.

4. IELTS CLASS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Please note that proof of an IELTS score of at least 5 must be provided
for direct enrolment in this class.
Students without such proof will be given an assessment test upon
arrival and placed in the appropriate class for their level.

5. INSURANCE FEES

requirements.
The New Zealand Language Institute uses the premier Partnership
Policy of Uni-care Travel and Medical Insurance. The Premium (fee) is
calculated on a daily basis. You can calculate the premium on-line at
www.uni-care.org Some examples are below:

Please note:

You can upgrade levels of insurance for particular items but this will
alter the premium.
6. LIVING EXPENSES
The New Zealand Immigration Service Policy states that if you are
studying in New Zealand on a Student Visa.
For less than 36 weeks you must provide evidence of NZ$1, 000 per
month.
For more than 36 weeks evidence of NZ$ 10, 000 per year as well as
sufficient funds to purchase an outward ticket.
Pre-paid accommodation (homestay) and living expenses on your New
Zealand Language Institute invoice are counted as “evidence”
If you already have an IELTS score of 5 and are studying full-time for
six months or more, you may be eligible to work for up to 20 hours a
week, upon application to the New Zealand Immigration Service.
