Where we are...

Our school is in a former residential area in the upmarket suburb of Summerstrand, Port Elizabeth, a quiet, low-traffic area. We are just a little more than a stone’s throw from the beautiful Pollock Beach – students can stroll across the road to the beach to relax after a hard day’s study! Some students live in the residence at the school, so there is always something happening, and it’s easy to make contact with other students even if you have chosen other accommodation nearby. We also have a great garden and patio area, which we use for social activities and classes.

Family-owned and managed – at least one of the owners is usually at the school, and willing to chat and help you when necessary with class sizes limited to 8 students, bli offers better individual attention in class than almost any other language school – and at a great price a small school offering personal attention and great service in a warm, friendly atmosphere. extra amenities and facilities: a library of books and magazines, free internet (wifi too), comfortable lounge and patio, table tennis and darts, spacious garden AND free tea and coffee every day, Monday to Friday, a reputation for excellent tuition - we employ only qualified, experienced teachers who love what they’re doing and who care about their students situated in a residential suburb on the bay in Port Elizabeth, one of Africa’s safest cities, with all amenities from supermarkets to coffee shops a short walk away, and our nearest beach is literally over the road and less than five minutes walk away, and the airport is five to 10 minutes drive from bli, a great range of activities and excursions, all bookable at the school.

While today’s city of Port Elizabeth was founded by British settlers, the original lagoon and its river were used by Khoisan hunter-gatherers and Portuguese, Dutch and British sailors for fresh water. The bay has beautiful, endless beaches, and is home to many marine animals - including whales and dolphins, which can sometimes be spotted from the beach or on boat trips. Because of the Agulhas current flowing down the east and south coasts, the water is warm, providing good swimming, surfing and diving conditions.

Let’s surf! Great conditions, good weather, and loads of fun! Golf at any one of a number of excellent clubs in the area. Get fit or lose weight at one of many fitness centres in Port Elizabeth
