The British International School of Stockholm is a not-for-profit educational Foundation, which is managed by a Board of Governors and offers an international education in English for children from 3 to 16 years old. We use the English National Curriculum together with the Cambridge International Curriculum to underpin our Literacy and Mathematics learning. The International Primary and Middle Years Curricula (IPC and IMYC) are used up to Year 9 for other curriculum areas. Years 10 and 11 follow an IGCSE programme. This route provides cross-curricular learning within an international context and enables students to easily switch to a new school when they move abroad. We are non-selective and offer a strong focus on supporting the learning needs and educational potential of each individual child. Established in 1980, our school has built a reputation for excellence in both teaching and pastoral care. With high academic standards and a warm, caring environment, our school is the first choice in primary and secondary education in Stockholm for parents in both the international and local communities. |
