Study Management and Organisational Development in the United KingdomAberdeen Business SchoolThe Robert Gordon UniversityOur 'strap-line' is Innovative and Informed and you might be asking what does this mean in reality. Let me provide you with a few examples of our innovative character. We were among the first business schools to offer an MSc in Electronic Business, this year we were the first institution to obtain accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development for our online MSc in Human Resource Management, and we are currently working with the other faculties in the university to provide a truly multi-disciplinary approach to delivering an MSc in Project Management to cater for a wide range of contexts. These examples serve to illustrate our mission to deliver professional and vocational education that is underpinned by applied research. The Informed component of our strap-line is hence derived from scholarly activity that is rooted in practice. We recognise that there are a variety of means for addressing your needs at the individual, team and corporate levels. Our expertise and experience equips us to engage with you in a variety of ways ranging from a one-on-one coaching session to a Doctor of Business Administration at the individual level through to a customised seminar to a corporate MBA at the organisation level. We are one of a select few business schools who have all four delivery routes (full time, executive, online and corporate) MBAs accredited by the Association of MBAs. Many of our masters courses are accredited by professional bodies and therefore subject to regular external scrutiny. Continual changes impacting on the working environment and presenting new challenges for managers have stimulated a growing interest in the need for lifelong learning, created new means of delivering it, and new opportunities to participate in it. Aberdeen Business School has worked with organisations as diverse as: The Scottish Executive, British Airways, Abbey National, Stewart Milne, National Air Traffic Services, CACT Operators Group (China), Faroe Islands Business School, Sonatrach (Algeria), IMERYS, and Tussauds. Our entire degree programme is modular, and most modules may be taken on a free-standing basis for continuing professional development, providing new knowledge and opportunities for work-based projects, and assessed learning.
