Our four-week, 135-hour
TEFL certificate is recognised internationally and accredited by the
International Education Society of London and the Czech Ministry of
Education. Trainee teachers can expect their education to include a
solid grounding in TEFL methodologies and plenty of hands-on practice.
Teaching practica is scheduled throughout the course with real
non-English speaking local language learners at all levels of language
acquisition. Our language learners are aged between 10 and 80 and
thoroughly enjoy being part of ITC, returning loyally month after month,
course after course. Trainees also experience seven and a half hours of
active participation in Czech lessons that both demonstrate the
methodologies in practice and give trainees compassion for what it's
like to be a language learner. These Czech lessons, conducted by fluent
Czech speakers, teach survival-Czech, all the necessary lexis and
functions to enhance a stay in the Czech Republic. During our course,
trainees also receive instruction in business English, and English for
young learners.
ITC offers a life-time
service to all trainees and graduate teachers - CV and international job
search guidance; and housing, visa and insurance assistance for the
Czech Republic. Trainees receive a comprehensive 300-page instruction
manual packed with lesson ideas, language analysis, methodology, and
other practical advice. In addition, graduates are presented with a
starter-pack of ready made lesson plans.
