The London College, UCK
The London College UCK is an independent college
of higher education offering a wide choice of pre-university,
undergraduate, postgraduate and professional courses. A low student
to faculty ratio combined with decades of teaching experience result
in a truly supportive learning environment. The college is
substantial enough to have good facilities and small enough to
ensure that our students are treated as individuals. We have an
excellent graduate employment rate and 15-20% of our graduates go on
to further study. In addition, the college is also an approved
tuition provider for both ACCA & CIMA professional qualifications.
Our students say
"What I really enjoyed was the supportive
atmosphere of a college where the lecturers know you by name and are
eager to listen. Flexible timetable enabled me to get work
experience simultaneously with my studies. Now I am pursuing a
successful career in human resources."

Location Another feature on which our students remark is
our location - Notting Hill Gate - both truly British and at the
same time cosmopolitan, a home to politicians, celebrities and the
internationally famous Notting Hill Gate Carnival and Portobello
Market. With around 110 different nationalities on our campus, the
college mirrors this diversity while providing a truly British
experience.
The nightlife is great in Notting Hill Gate's
clubs, bars, restaurants and pubs. Art and culture lovers may enjoy
an evening out at the Gate Theatre or a local cinema.

Language Support for International Students
English language support is offered to all international students
from the moment they start their studies at the college. All EFL
tutorials are provided free of charge, can be taken by students in
parallel with their academic studies and include classes in academic
writing, communication skills and general English.
Modular Study System
All
our programmes are modular and based on credit point accumulation and
therefore allow a high level of flexibility without compromising
academic standards. You can study full-time, part-time or by distance
learning. For example, should you be forced through financial or
personal reasons to withdraw from a programme before completion, you may
qualify for an alternative academic award and therefore leave the
college with your accomplishments recognised. Should your circumstances
allow you to continue at a later date, on re-enrolment you would be
offered transfer credits, allowing continuation at or near the level
previously attained. Equally, if you are a full-time overseas student
you may be forced (or may wish) for a variety of reasons to return home
prior to completion of the programme. For most of our programmes it will
be possible to allow continuation through distance learning mode of
study. Transfer credits may also be awarded for qualifications, full or
partial, obtained at other institutions, allowing for flexible entry.
Part-time students will find it convenient to schedule their studies
with work commitments since individual modules are typically delivered
on one morning or afternoon per week during the semester.
