Climate:Bhutan's climate is as varied as its landscape: in the southern plains the climate is tropical, while the central valleys are cool. The Himalayashave severe winters and mild summers. The monsoon season is from June to August. In general the best time to visit is spring and autumn when there are many Buddhist festivals.
Language:Dzongkha is the national language of Bhutan. It has some similarity to Tibetan in speaking, while the alphabets are exactly same as Tibetan (but uses different style of scripts) .
Currency:The Ngultrum, often denoted by BTN, is the official currency used in Bhutan. Equal in value to the Indian Rupee (through a 1:1 peg) , the currency is subdivided into 100 chertrums.
Population:The population of Bhutan in 2003 was estimated by the United Nations at 2257000,
which placed it as number 139 in population among the 193 nations of the world.
Capital City:Thimphu is the capital of Royal State of Bhutan
and the best kept secret destination in the world.
